Will A Better Morning Routine Really Lead To More Success?

Will A Better Morning Routine Really Lead To More Success?

Is a morning routine or being more disciplined the key to more success?

So many gurus are touting the benefits of morning routines.

You hear it everywhere. Create a “millionaire morning routine” and everything will change and you’ll reach that next level!

More discipline and setting up a morning routine is not the best way to create more success and could actually be causing you to stay stuck.

It’s okay to think this, I can’t tell you how many morning routines I’ve started and thought “this will be my breakthrough!!” yet found that it just didn’t do what it promised.

If you’ve fallen into the trap of thinking that a new morning routine or having more discipline will get you to the next level in your business, I bet you’ve been plateaued at the same income in your business for the last 3-6 months.

I can’t tell you how many articles I’ve read about how to create a millionaire morning routine. Yet, if this were all that was necessary, wouldn’t everyone who followed the “millionaire morning routine” be a millionaire?

There’s a reason behind this.

The solution isn’t following a morning routine or more discipline.

Let’s be honest, the word “discipline” doesn’t even feel very good, does it.

Discipline means to punish. Why would we want to punish ourselves?

The subconscious mind is always listening to what we say. So when we say things like “I need more discipline” it hears “I need to be punished” or “I need to whip my butt into shape and do all the things”.

This feels stressful as f*ck. And it plays into the story our culture tells us that the only way to create more success is to do more and be more regimented and disciplined.

If your subconscious mind perceives this as a stressful situation, it’s going to stop you cold in your tracks.

It’s trying to protect you from what it sees stressful, as more work, and even as potential punishment!

Yikes.

Regulate Your Nervous System
Regulate Your Nervous System

So what do you do instead?

The first step is to regulate your nervous system.

When your nervous system is regulated, your subconscious mind knows on a deep physical level that it’s safe.

When your subconscious mind knows it’s safe, then you have the capacity to change habits and behaviors in a way that feels fun and pleasurable.

When you stop feeling like you have to “whip your butt into shape!” and instead create success and more income in your business from a relaxed, pleasurable, joyful place – suddenly everything changes.

Not only do you become more productive (without putting in more hours).

You have more inspired ideas.

You stop procrastinating and stalling on things (or quitting before you’ve finished).

And best of all, you wake up feeling motivated and on fire about your business.

The key?

The whole thing hinges on stress.

If you try to create a business from a place of stress, pressure, anxiety, and punishment – your subconscious mind just won’t have it.

It will do whatever it takes to protect you from what it sees as a whole big pain in the ass horrible monster that “success” becomes because it’s so tied up with stress.

When you unwind from the stress, and you regulate your nervous system, you create a whole new dynamic with your business that changes the whole game.
